As a Kloud-12 user, you will be able to access your classroom camera through your account dashboard. For the camera or cameras connected to your account, you will be able to navigate the dashboard for various options and functions to:
- Manage your camera view
- Create & manage your recording schedule
- Add & manage shared access to your camera
- Edit & share your completed recording files
User-Friendly Dashboard Interface -
The Kloud-12 application dashboard is easy for users to navigate to all of their camera functions and options. Once logged in to your account, you'll see the Live Camera View of the camera you are assigned to. You'll have access to multiple camera options and be able to navigate to different areas of managing your account.
Managing the Camera View -
Kloud-12 allows the user to fully control their camera view with adjustable pan/tilt/zoom and multiple high definition view modes, such as Single, Quad and Double Pano. Although each view has its own purpose, the default - and recommended - is quad view.
For more on on camera modes, see Managing Your Camera View.
Creating & Managing a Recording Schedule -
Schedule both One-Time and Recurring Recordings in advance! Kloud-12 allows the user to create a customizable recording schedule for their recording goals and needs, even setting up their entire school year so that every class is recorded!
For more on scheduling, see Scheduling One-Time Recordings & Scheduling a Recurring Recording.
Sharing Your Camera with Other Kloud-12 Users -
Kloud-12 allows the user to share access to their camera with other Kloud-12 users in their building or district, either as view-only (like for a one-time observation) or with camera option permissions (like for co-teachers creating their own recordings on the same camera).
Users are also able to clearly see all accounts which have administrator access to their camera.
NOTE: Administrator access is typically just Tech Admin at your district (for the purpose of troubleshooting network or hardware issues) and possibly your building Principal and/or Assistant Principal, depending on your district's policy. Occasionally, a school will allow Instructional Coaches to have administrator access to teachers' cameras, for ease of Professional Development work. Regardless, the camera owner will be able to see every account that has access and what permissions that account has access to.
Editing Recording Files -
Teachers can access any recordings that they create themselves, as well as any recording file that has been shared with them by another user, to edit either through their Kloud-12 dashboard or off campus at video.kloud-12.com.
For more on the Online Editor, see: Intro to Navigating the Kloud-12 Editor.
A note on Kloud-12 Dashboard Accessibility -
Kloud-12 is designed to be local network only, which means that it is accessible through a school or district intranet (or internal network) and not via the Internet. In order to sign in to your account dashboard, you must be on your school campus, on a device connected to your school network. This could be a desktop computer, laptop, tablet or phone, as long as it is connected to your school network.
Your school administrator will supply you with the Kloud-12 server address specific to your school building or district. Other schools or districts will not able to access this - it's just for you!
